Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok

Your adventure begins as you land in the serene city of Gangtok. Check into your hotel and take a moment to soak in the majestic views of the Eastern Himalayas.

After freshening up, head out to explore the local attractions. Start with a visit to the Enchey Monastery, an ancient monastery perched on a hill that offers a tranquil atmosphere and panoramic views of the city. Then, go to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a treasure trove of Tibetan culture and history, housing rare manuscripts, artifacts, and thangkas.

As dusk falls, stroll along MG Marg, the vibrant heart of Gangtok. Enjoy local delicacies like momos and thukpa at the street stalls and explore the quaint shops selling traditional handicrafts.

Day 2: Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

Start your day early with a hearty breakfast, then embark on a scenic drive to the stunning Tsomgo Lake at 12,400 feet. The lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, is a sight to behold. If you're visiting in winter, you might see the lake frozen over, adding to its ethereal beauty.
